Thank you for showing interest in our work in wolf conservation! It means a lot.
Wolf Haven International, one of the largest wolf sanctuaries of its type in North America, sits on 80 acres in Thurston County, Washington. Fifty-five acres are comprised of rare Mima Mound prairie and 25 acres of woodlands are dedicated to the sanctuary that, on average, houses 50 wolves with a handful of wolf-dog hybrids and coyotes. Our wolves come from zoos, education programs, and private ownership (a practice that is illegal in most states, but difficult to enforce).
From dispelling the misinformation surrounding wolves attacking people and preying on strictly livestock, to the false impression that these regal creatures make good pets, through education Wolf Haven plays a vital role in assisting the public to understand the often misunderstood keystone predator, the wolf.
